Vicky Winter: Board Member

Vicky is an educational leader, community advocate, and proud native of Capitol Hill. She grew up taking CHAW classes and performing in youth theater, later attending and teaching at schools that deeply valued the arts. Over her two decades of professional experience, Victoria has led special education programs for over 125 students, mentored teachers, designed curriculum, and organized countless community events and fundraisers. Her work has always centered on creating inclusive spaces where individuals of all abilities can discover their strengths and feel empowered to succeed.

Deeply motivated by a commitment to making Capitol Hill a vibrant, welcoming place for all, Vicky is passionate about fostering community through creativity. She believes deeply in CHAW’s mission of connecting and transforming through the arts and is driven to ensure that no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Personally, she delights in creating joyful, meaningful experiences for her nieces and nephews, nurturing the same love for the arts that shaped her own life. Victoria combines her expertise in leadership, compliance, community engagement, and arts advocacy to help build spaces where creativity uplifts and unites. Vicky lives on Capitol Hill (vows to never leave) with her cat, Franny, and enjoys spending time outdoors walking, playing tourist in DC, and baking treats.
