Resources

With over 45 years of experience building community through the arts in countless classes, workshops, residencies, trainings and performances, CHAW is uniquely positioned to share its passion and expertise for upholding and uplifting the value of art, artists and artful thinking in many contexts.

Tuition ASSISTANCE

In our 50 years of operating, CHAW has never turned a student away due to inability to pay. The benefits of the arts are even more pronounced for students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, but that they often receive less arts instruction than their peers. CHAW seeks to bridge this gap by offering tuition assistance. Learn more

SPACE RENTAL

CHAW’s space use centers on the same mission that drives us in our classes, workshops, and events: Building community through the arts. We strive to make our space as accessible to everyone, including individuals and organizations seeking affordable space in the District. CHAW’s Black Box Theater, Dance Studio, Gallery and Art Studio are currently available for rental for performances, rehearsals, classes, workshops, and more.
