Kathy Detwiler received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from the Catholic University of America.

She has been an active rehearsal pianist with many regional opera companies and continues to enjoy freelance collaborations and studio accompanying.

She has performed the Tchaikovsky piano concerto with the Gardner Webb University Orchestra and been a soloist with the American Liszt festival.

Kathy and her family live in Washington, DC where they enjoy their many animals as well as birding, and frequent trips to wildlife refuges.

Kathy plays weekly for the studio of Jennifer Cabot. She is currently pianist/organist for Redeemer Lutheran in McLean VA and St. Matthews Cathedral downtown.
