She previously directed the ONE Campaign’s creative and brand team, implemented communications strategy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health and at community organizations in Guatemala and Sri Lanka, and is now consulting based in DC. She obtained an MPA in International Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service in 2012. She has served as an editor for manuscripts, provided digital content direction for a podcast, published a blog, developed unique travel guides, and continues to write poetry and prose.
Growing up surrounded by stories in the Philippines, the US, and Sri Lanka fostered Harshi’s passion for social issues, travel, and capturing experiences. Her family of artists and teachers taught her that intentional words and visuals are equally valuable for effectively sharing a message. She loves collaborating with creatives, communicators, storytellers, and artists of all kinds, especially in social impact spaces.
