Latin American Short-Film Festival: SHORTIDOTES 3.0

A key component of this program is SHORTidotes 3.0—an English–Spanish short film festival curated by documentary photographer, independent reporter, and film curator Salym Fayad. Scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2025, 5:30pm and hosted by CHAW, the third edition, titled Alternative Narratives, will feature several short films by local filmmaker Alberto Roblest, who will also participate in a panel discussion alongside Magdalena Mieri, director of the Program in Latino History and Culture at the Smithsonian Institution. The panel will be moderated by Fayad. The project also includes the production of a fourth bilingual coloring book and family programming at both partner venues.

This project is funded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, ARTidotes 4.0 and in partnership with the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) and the Art Museum of the Americas (AMA).
