Elizabeth (Lizzy) Kosin: Board Member
Lizzy Kosin (she/her) is a clinical social worker and Capitol Hill neighbor. Currently, Lizzy is the Director of Care Services at Capitol Hill Village, a local non-profit supporting adults aging-in-place in Capitol Hill. Prior to working at Capitol Hill Village, Lizzy worked in a variety of mental health settings and a DCPS high school. As a social worker, Lizzy works to reduce barriers for vulnerable members of our community to access health and safety. During long Cap Hill walks, Lizzy was drawn to CHAW’s bright exterior which led to her learning that CHAW “walks the walk” on how art can provide social impact across the DC area.
Because many people deny that they can be artists, Lizzy encourages folks to explore their creative sides through whatever avenue fits them best. For Lizzy, she enjoys reading, listening to, and writing poetry, and exploring the art of comedy writing and performances.
