Raised in Virginia and now a DC resident, Liz holds a BFA from George Mason University in Art and Visual Technology, and an AA from Northern Virginia Community College in Speech Communication.

Liz has worked in a multitude of artistic positions including graphic design, commercial printing, fine art printing at Lily Press® in Rockville, MD , studio assistance for the late Washington D.C. Artist, Sam Gilliam, and she currently also works at The Athenaeum in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

In her spare time, Liz volunteers regularly at the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum as a Visitor Information Specialist. She also enjoys making art and spending time with her partner, Marshall, and their two cats, Carol and Timmy.
