Egg tempera is one of the oldest, most versatile, and most durable methods of painting. Discover the beauty of this medium in works from artists ranging from Boticelli to Wyeth. Students will learn the history, process and application for working with egg tempera to create their own paintings. Some painting or drawing experience (advanced beginner level and beyond) is helpful. Supplies (please bring with you to class): Watercolor brushes, 2 Gesso boards - not smaller than 9x11, 2 cans or jars for water, 1small plastic palette with 6 wells.
